Course Details

This course provides learners the opportunity to put into practice skills and knowledge learned via a comediation experience with practicing child protection mediators as mentors. Mediations will vary in complexity, length and location, with at least one co-mediation being with an Indigenous family and one with an Indigenous mentor. As learners progress through co-mediations, their role will move from supporting their mentor through all aspects of a mediation (including booking and facilitating premediation and mediation meetings), to co-facilitating a mediation from start to finish with their mentor as support.
