Course Details

In this introductory course, international learners will examine the constantly evolving Canadian criminal justice system. Learners will be introduced to the roles and functions of each component of the Canadian criminal justice system - police, courts, and corrections. They will also explore contemporary related issues, including public/private relationships in the law enforcement context, public involvement in criminal justice processes, restorative justice, and programs designed to reduce crime and rehabilitate offenders.
