Course Details

This course focuses on the development of communications skills that can be applied in the learner's professional and personal life. The focus will be the development of communications skills required to de-escalate people in crisis, conduct investigations, prepare reports, and present evidence in court. Learners will increase their awareness of the impact of interpersonal/group dynamics on the communications process. Learners will be able to utilize the appropriate verbal interventions and active de-escalation skills to assist emotionally disturbed persons.
