Course Details

Learners will examine the impacts of historical events, including colonization on Aboriginal culture. Learners will study the cultural diversity within Aboriginal societies in areas including, but not limited to traditions, customs, languages, and the role of elders, and will assess the significance of this diversity for law enforcement personnel. Learners will also explore Aboriginal justice and the relationship between the Canadian justice system and Aboriginal peoples. (Formerly LESD207)
