Course Details

This course is designed to educate and evaluate Driver/Operators in the requirements of Chapter Five of the NFPA 1002 Standard on Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications. Included in this interactive training is: Pump Theory; Theoretical Hydraulics; Fire ground Hydraulics; Class A & B Foam; Drafting Operations; Water Supply Relay-pumping; Supplying Sprinkler & Standpipe Systems; Pumping from Booster Tank & Hydrant and Flowing large volumes of water. A written and practical evaluation is required to ensure NFPA Standards are achieved. Successful students will have an appropriate mix of theoretical knowledge and practical skills to ensure the apparatus is utilized to its fullest potential. A Fire and Safety Division EVO Evaluator must conduct practical & written evaluations to ensure IFSAC & Pro Board criteria are met. (Formerly EVO150) Prerequisite:Applicable class drivers licence (class 1, 3 or 5), with air brake endorsement.
