Investigations & Forensic Evidence

Learners will demonstrate the key theoretical and practical techniques on how to collect, document, catalogue, and analyze evidence and information; make appropriate case recommendations; and organize information in an investigative file. Learners will also examine the role and responsibilities of investigators and contrast the various stages of investigative work: from attending the scene, crime scene management, to gathering information. Learners will use of a variety of investigative techniques and methods including the principles of major case management and documentation of findings and what happens during case preparation.
