IIO Impaired Driving

This course will enable participants to investigate motor vehicle offences and apply the appropriate legislation including the Motor Vehicle Act, the Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, and municipal bylaws. Participants will familiarize themselves with impaired driving investigations and consider the importance of preparation and documentation of evidence for court or inquest presentations. The participants will also be exposed to the procedures and tools used for detecting impairment and operating road blocks for drinking driver checks.
