Force Options: Containment, Barricades & Hostage Incidents

Emergency Response Teams are often involved in high risk complex incidents. Typically ERT becomes involved in events that are beyond the scope of traditional general duty patrol officers. When these incidents result in death or serious injury the 110 Investigator will be required to interpret the scene, decision making and use of force. This course will delve into police scene containment practices, resolution of barricade incidents, hostage taking incidents and immediate rapid deployment.
