Course Details

This course is designed to educate and evaluate Drivers in the requirements of Chapter Four of the NFPA 1002 Standard on Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications. Included in this interactive training is:Preventative; Maintenance; Apparatus Maneuvering and Defensive Driving on Public Streets. A written and practical evaluation is required to ensure NFPA Standards are achieved. Successful students will have an appropriate mix of theoretical knowledge and practical skills to ensure the apparatus and personnel get to the scene safely and that the apparatus and equipment is ready for service. A Fire and Safety Division EVO Evaluator must conduct practical & written evaluations to ensure IFSAC & Pro Board criteria are met. (Formerly EVO140). Prerequisite:NFPA 1001 Level 1 (accredited) Applicable class drivers licence (class 1, 3 or 5), with air brake endorsement.
