Search and Rescue Commander

This course provides awareness-level information on search and rescue (SAR) practices for police members who may be assuming command of ground and inland water search and rescue tasks within British Columbia. The course covers the roles and responsibilities of the attending RCMP/Police member and of the SAR Manager as well as an overview of SAR operations, structure, policies, procedures and documentation.
