Course Details

Block III is the third of three training blocks that must be completed prior to obtaining full certification as a Qualified Municipal Constable in BC. Over the course of the 9 weeks of Block III, recruits build on the foundational tactical, legal, and physical skills they obtained in Block I and the experience they acquired in their Block II field training. Concepts are taught in an integrated case-based format, with recruits taking increased responsibility for their learning as they prepare to operate independently after graduation. Recruits' knowledge, skills, and abilities are assessed according to the Police Sector Council National Framework of Police Constable Competencies. Each week of Recruit Training builds progressively to reach the overall competencies. Recruits also complete DRIV-1611 during this week.
