Course Details
In this course participants will develop competent investigative strategies for online open source environments. Students will gain extensive experience with online search tools and exploring social networking and media sites. The course will also highlight current Case Law related to technological crime and address proper use of PIPEDA (Personal Information Electronic Documents Act) as well as terminology for search warrants / production orders. Students will learn recommended methods of seizing electronic devices and capturing/preserving electronic evidence. (Formerly POLADV708)
