Course Details

Learners in this course will gain an understanding of the links between historical trauma and the on-going struggles that Indigenous people face as they reclaim their future. This understanding helps decision makers and program administrators to design policies and practices in ways which provide services that avoid repeating the systemic oppression of the past. Emphasis is given to maintaining individual and collective wellness by recognizing the signs of burnout and vicarious trauma, and by learning effective strategies to remain healthy and resilient.
