Course Details
Malware is any software developed by cybercriminals to encrypt, alter or steal data, such as passwords or credit card numbers, to spy on someone's computer activity without their knowledge or permission, or to hijack, damage or destroy computers (including mobile phones, tablets, etc.) and computer systems. This course explains exactly how malware does this, as well as the many different forms malware can take and who the cyber groups are who primarily use it. Knowing how malware attacks is important in determining both how to defend against it, and how to investigate it.
