Course Details

This one day workshop provides participants with an overview to a selection of introductory emergency management topics. The format offers communities and/or organizations a student-centred approach to engage with relevant emergency management themes: emergency management concepts, principles, frameworks, governance and practices. The setting allows participants to discuss, engage, and share information and experiences that lead to a better understanding of emergency management practices in Canada and more specifically to their community and/or organization. Following the workshop, participants have the option to complete two introductory correspondence courses (i.e., EMRG-1100- Intro to Emergency Management, EMRG-1200 ICS Level 100, EMRG-1300-Intro to EOC, or EMRG-1600 Introduction to ESS).
