BC Corrections Force Options Instructor

This course will train participants as force options instructors as per BC Corrections Adult Custody Division's force options instructors. Participants will be given the opportunity to learn force option techniques from the division's subject matter experts in order to develop their own skill set as instructors. As part of the course, participants will have the opportunity to practice facilitating Adult Custody Division's approved techniques to groups. This includes facilitation of lesson plans, simulations, and simulation assessments that focus on crisis intervention and trauma informed practices, physical control techniques, and lethal force.
