Course Details
This assessment will measure that students have attained the fundamental knowledge and skills required by Security Professionals to perform their function safely, legally and effectively. Security Professionals careers include: contract security services; in house security in hospitals, educational institutions, banks, and supply chain and retail security; loss prevention and corporate security; door persons; and body guards. Students must complete the exam within one year of completing Basic Security Training: Theory (SCRT-1650). Students must successfully complete this assessment in order to be eligible to apply for a Security Worker License. NOTE: Students must be 19 years of age to be eligible to apply for a Security Worker License to work as a security professional.
Online Exams require:
- Access to a computer (a tablet will not work)
- Google Chrome with the Proctorio Chrome extension installed (*Click on the links to install)
- Webcam (320x240 VGA minimum)
- Minimum bandwidth of 0.244 Mbps (0.664 Mbps recommended)
(Wired connection recommended)- Free disk space of 250MB and Free RAM of 2 GB

The Basic Security Training Theory online course (SCRT-1650) and the Basic Security Training Assessment (SCRT-1655) are continuous entry online courses and not eligible for refunds.
