The Edmund James Woods Memorial Bursary provides support for students in financial need who are enrolled in an eligible degree, diploma or certificate program of 10 credits or more at JIBC.
The bursary is named in memory of firefighter Edmund James Woods and was established in 2018 as part of the JIBC Future 40 Campaign by a family friend.
Value
One award of $1,000 is available annually.
eligibility Criteria
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have refugee status.
- Enrolled in an eligible degree, diploma, or certificate program of 10 credits or more.
- Demonstrated financial need not met by other available sources of funding including student loans, grants, sponsorship, work income, etc.
