About the Event
We are proud to partner with Fire Service Women BC in presenting a hands-on firefighter workshop to women interested in a career in firefighting.
Fire Service Women BC is a not-for-profit society serving women working in the fire service in British Columbia. This includes unionized members (paid-on-call), volunteers, exempt fire chief officers, forestry and industrial firefighters, and others who aspire to become firefighters. Established in early 2022, this organization developed a mandate to build a supportive and inclusive fire service that benefits all.
This informative and interactive day will be filled with presentations, hands-on firefighting activities, and presentations from local fire departments about hiring opportunities.

Time: 8 a.m to 4 p.m.
Location: Maple Ridge Campus, 13500 256 St. Maple Ridge.
Cost: $25.00 (includes lunch)
Must be 19 years of age or older to participate.
