Special Topic Trauma Informed Practice Emerging Issues

Available exclusively on a contract basis
This course supports workers in all fields to further engage with and reflect on the principles of trauma informed approaches. By promoting trauma awareness, safety, and skill and strength building in all aspects of their work and life, individuals will deepen their understanding of what it means to be trauma-informed and how to integrate trauma informed approaches in their work. This is not an introductory course. There is an expectation of foundational knowledge and previous course work on the topic of trauma informed practice including COUN-1050 or equivalent. Contract clients will choose from a selection of topics to ensure the course curriculum corresponds to the needs of the client organization or agency.
