Course Details

This course introduces learners to the planning process and strategies for the effective evaluation and maintenance of plans created. Learners will identify different types of planning related to the successful functioning of Emergency Services, with a focus on operational plans such as emergency management and fire protection plans.

This is one course in the JIBC Fire Officer program intended to meet the NFPA 1021 Standardprogressing through the third level of Fire Officer Qualification, Fire Officer III (managerial / administrative). The following areas of responsibility will be covered: human resource management, community and government relations, administration, inspection and investigation, emergency service delivery and health and safety.
