Course Details

This course teaches the basics of British Columbia's Emergency Support Services (ESS) program, and how to use the Evacuee Registration and Assistant (ERA) tool. This includes learning how the ESS program operates, guidelines for interviewing evacuees, and registering and providing supports using ERA.

Online
Participants are required to participate from their computers throughout the whole session and a strong internet connection is required.
This course is recommended for students who:
- Are confident using a computer independently.
- Have an understanding of their computer settings (i.e., managing pop-ups, audio and video settings, using a browser).
- Are comfortable using virtual session tools (i.e., screen-sharing, navigating between multiple program windows, working in breakout rooms).
