Course Details
Apply the skills and knowledge acquired throughout the Emergency Management Certificate in a take-home project. This assessment provides the participants with an opportunity to synthesize their learning through the completion of an in-depth emergency management assignment or through the development of a project chosen in conjunction with the lead instructor. Instructions and guidelines will be provided on the first day of the course. Students will be asked to select a topic category and provide an outline of their project within the first two weeks of the course. NOTE: In order to register for this course, students must: 1) be in good standing in the Emergency Management Certificate Program; 2) have completed all the required and elective courses in the program; 3) have their eligibility to enroll be confirmed by the Program Manager by emailing emdprograms@jibc.ca; and 4) register for a section that starts BEFORE the completion deadline for their certificate program.
