Course Details

This course is designed to provide learners with the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge they have acquired in other courses in Trauma and Crisis Intervention, and Critical Stress Management programs. Students will demonstrate the practical skills involved in delivering a Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD). Students will experience hands-on learning by applying the CISD process in a simulation of real-world scenarios. Following each simulation students will be offered guidance and feedback on their application of the appropriate Critical Incident Stress Management tools. Through applied learning and guidance, learners will further develop their skills leading and facilitating the group process and navigating challenging scenarios while regulating their own emotional responses.
