Course Details
This course will provide a work integrated learning opportunity for students in law enforcement studies. Students will work with local law enforcement community partners to gain knowledge about local crime prevention strategies, various criminal justice stakeholders, and the safety needs of different communities. Students will work alongside these community partners at their location to gain experience in various outreach initiatives, community events, and administrative procedures. This course consists of a combination of classroom and community participation. Students will be expected to reflect on their community experiences through written assignments and presentations to reveal their continued growth in skill and knowledge.
