Course Details

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the fundamental aspects of community corrections supervision, including legislation, acts, policies, and principles that inform a probation officer's approach to risk assessment and case management in the supervision of community corrections clients. Learners will acquire skills to perform risk-based interviews and apply risk assessment tools, conduct home visits, develop case management and alternative measure plans, access client program interventions and community resources, and use electronic supervision in accordance with BC Corrections policies and guidelines.
