Kyle Cempron’s student journey at the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) is a remarkable testament to dedication and passion for emergency medical services. His story begins with the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) program, a crucial first step that would set the foundation for his future successes.

Kyle embarked on his journey at JIBC by enrolling in the EMR program, where he quickly demonstrated his commitment and aptitude for emergency medical services. The comprehensive training he received equipped him with the skills necessary to respond effectively to emergency situations, laying a solid groundwork for his career.


 

Finding his first job as an Emergency Medical Responder 

After completing the EMR program, Kyle was hired by the British Columbia Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) to work on an ambulance. This role allowed him to apply his training in real-life scenarios, gaining invaluable experience and honing his skills on the front lines of emergency medical response. Becoming an educator at JIBC In addition to his work with BCEHS, Kyle’s passion for education led him back to JIBC, this time as a sessional instructor teaching EMR. His dedication and expertise did not go unnoticed, and he was soon promoted to the position of EMR Lead Instructor in the Northwest region. In this role, Kyle has played a pivotal part in shaping the next generation of emergency medical responders, sharing his knowledge and experience with countless students. 

Serving First Nations Communities

 Kyle's contributions extend beyond the classroom. He has provided EMR and First Responder training to First Nations communities throughout British Columbia, ensuring that these communities have access to critical emergency medical training. His efforts have not only enhanced the safety and preparedness of these communities but have also fostered stronger relationships and trust. Kyle has also been actively involved in the JIBC Indigenous Youth Camp, where he has played a role in empowering Indigenous youth through education and training. His work at the camp has been instrumental in inspiring young individuals to pursue careers in emergency medical services, providing them with the tools and confidence to make a difference in their communities.
