February 3, 2025 (11:30 a.m.)

Due to current weather and road conditions, the following campuses will be closed on February 3, 2025 at 11:30 a.m.: JIBC Vancouver Island.

Road conditions around campus have become difficult with the snow piling up. We recommend that you make plans to leave campus now. We have a snowplow working now to help clear roads, so you will have an easier and safer exit from campus. Please note for those parked in lower and west campus areas, you need to exit via Belmont Gate. Operations and Resilience staff will be positioned at intersections to assist you with directions to exit. If you choose to leave your vehicle parked overnight, you will not be ticketed or towed. While campus is closed, the business of RRU continues. Please work from home as you are able.

For students at the Vancouver Island campus, grab-and-go service will be available at Habitat until 12:30 p.m. The Recreation Centre and the Library will close at 11:30 a.m. today to allow staff to get home safely. If you are on campus and need assistance at any time, please call Security at 250-391-2525.

All other campus locations are open, and classes are running as scheduled.

February 2, 2025 (9:30 a.m.)
